I didn’t catch the travel bug the first time I flew from Nairobi to Atlanta at age 5, or when I planned my first "real trip" to San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2017. And definitely not when I got my passport in 2022.

For me, travel has always been about more than just satisfying wanderlust—it’s been a way to understand where I belong in the world. Growing up in displacement, my travel stories were more about what I carried with me than the places I went.
With a background in Sustainable Tourism Innovation and Development and project management, I’m in a great position to help you travel in a way that goes beyond the glossy, sponsored reviews you see online. I collaborate exclusively with local partners in over 30 incredible destinations. From the ancestral pueblos of New Mexico to a haka ceremony in New Zealand, it's time to embrace travel that’s rich in culture and created in partnership with the people who live it every day.

I'm Lona, a new england based luxury travel curator, aesthete, architect of ease and comfort.

About High Tide

It’s always been about culture—finding it, experiencing it, and listening to the stories of others.

The motherland

When I'm not plotting your next escape, you'll find me impulsively adding new candles to my collection. Right now, I'm in my gourmand era.
